Teams Combined Goal

Teams Combined Goal

We’re plumped to inform that our technical team have successfully developed a new feature, that allows the parent layer item(Like communities) to have automatic goal updated, whenever the child pages' (like ambassadors') goal changes. This means that a change in goal on the ambassador level will be reflected on the community as well. *This feature is now available only Admin and client user dashboards.

How It Works

Please go through the following steps to see how the feature functions.

Step 1

On the dashboard, head over to the Peer to Peer section.

Step 2

i. Now select the required campaign which has multiple layers configured. ii. Now select any of the Parent layer. For the demo, we have the Countries layer selected in the following screenshot. iii. Next, click on “ + Add Countries” button.

Step 3

Then a pop up will appear, where you add details, also here you will be able to see a toggle button named “Automatically Calculate & Update Goal” enabled by default and also you will notice that the “Goal” field is disabled. The “Currency” dropdown will be active so that the layer-item goal currency can be set.

If the toggle button is disabled, the Goal field will be active and the goal amount for the Parent layer can be specified manually.

Things to Remember, while making of this “Automatically Calculate & Update Goal”  toggle Button:

  1. *If this toggle button will be ‘enabled’ by default when creating a new layer-item. This helps to keep the goal field is locked for editing and shows the updated goal for Communities. *If the toggle is disabled, then the goal field is editable and the layer-item can have a custom goal and no auto-calculation take place. *If a goal has been entered, then the toggle is switched back on, then it will go back to the automatically calculated data.

  2. If there are 3 layers as Community > Team Leaders (hidden) > Ambassadors. The community goal will be based on the ambassador goals & do not taken into account of the hidden layer item goals.

  3. For layer-items created via Bulk import:

    • This toggle button will be disabled by default if the goal amount is not an empty value for any of the imported layer item.

    • This toggle button will be enabled if at all, the goal amount of any of the imported layer item is 0 or empty.

  4. If this toggle button is enabled for Parent layer-item and if they don’t have any Child layer-items then the Goal amount for the Parent layer-item would be 0. Inorder, to add a manual goal, please turn off the toggle to proceed, in such cases.

  5. If this toggle button is enabled for a parent layer-item which has a goal currency different from that of child layer-item, rest assured, the goal would be auto-updated based on the currency conversion set in the campaign backend.

  6. To use this feature, please make sure to keep the ‘Automatically Calculate & Update Goal’ toggle button as enabled for your layer items. *Incase if this is enabled only when a Campaign is Live, the goal amount is not updated instantly in the popup. Instead the goal amount value is updated only when we reopen the popup. This will be fixed and released in future updates.
