Paypal

Paypal

We are now fully integrated with Paypal! To start using Paypal for your upcoming campaign - please see below!

What do you need to do?

1. Please provide your Campaign Manager with the following information:

- Client ID
- App Secret

2. Make sure you are able to access your Paypal account to confirm that you see our test donation and refund it.
This is to ensure the integration has worked correctly.

3. Please be aware that any edits or changes to your Paypal account during the campaign will be completely under your jurisdiction. Causematch has no access to your Paypal account and therefore we cannot make any changes or edits.

PLEASE NOTE:

1. Paypal charges are often much higher than other credit card processors.

2. Paypal often holds money for a few months when there is a large influx of transactions through the account.

2. Paypal is best used as an additional gateway and not as the main gateway. If you choose to use Paypal as your main gateway - please understand that the donor will only be offered to pay via regular credit card once they click on the Paypal button to pay. This is how Paypal has set up their system and there is the potential risk that a donor who do does not have Paypal - may have an issue with this.

  1. Please note that the PayPal Guest Checkout Functionality does not work for recurring/any subscription donations.

  2. Donors don’t always have the option to make their purchases without using or creating a PayPal account. This option is presented based on several risk factors, including but not limited to the donor's PayPal purchase history, PayPal cookies stored on their computer, the donor's location, and/or a credit assessment. Even the address that they fill in needs to be very precise.
