About Giving

The Giving Association was established to promote a sustainable Israeli society by increasing the volume of local philanthropic giving to social sector bodies in Israel, thereby overcoming the dependence of Israeli social sector organizations on philanthropic funding originating from abroad.

Conditions

If your organization meets one of the following conditions, the Giving Association may be able to assist you in processing donations in NIS during your campaign:

  1. Your organization has approval for tax-deductible donations under Section 46, but you do not have a credit card processing provider.

    Or

  2. Your organization is an association recognized for tax purposes in England.

If your organization does not meet any of the above conditions, it is possible that Giving could adopt it as one of its projects.

Costs

If Giving approves processing NIS for you, they may also be able to process foreign currency donations for you! You must contact Giving directly regarding this possibility. ( for example - GBP / CAD )

Approval Process

  1. Email Jonny Cline at jonnyc@giving.org.il and explain your organization's status in accordance with the conditions detailed above.

  2. If Giving can assist, reach an agreement on the terms with them.

  3. Update your campaign manager at CauseMatch and provide them with the approval.
