How to edit donations

How to edit donations



  1. Login to your account using the username and password shared with you.



  2. Click on 'Campaigns' under that click on ‘Donations’ and select ‘All Donations’.



  3. This will take you to a new page, from the dropdown select the campaign to which the donation was made as shown below.



  4. Once this is completed the next step is to find the donation. You can search for the donation with the Email, Name, or Donation ID.

    Once you find the donation click on the edit button (pencil button) at the right end.



  5. For an online donation, the following fields are editable

    a) First Name: (Please note if a donor has chosen another name for the receipt we cannot edit that. This is the name that will be displayed on the page and dashboard)
    b) Last Name:
    c) Layer Item: You can move the donation to a team/community page once the donation is made.
    d) Phone Number:
    e) Email:
    f) Address Fields:
    g) Any custom fields that are there on the checkout page can be edited for the donation once it is made.The option to edit this section will come below the Address Fields.
    h) Comment: You can add/edit a comment.
    i) Internal Notes:  For offline donations, custom fields cannot be edited. Instead, we have the option to add internal notes.
    Please note -  Internal Notes will not come up on the page, they can only be accessed via the dashboard and in the donation export.
    j) Is Anonymous - You can make the donation anonymous by checking this checkbox.
    k) Hide Donation Amount from RDP - You can hide the donation in the Donors tab on the campaign page by checking this checkbox
    l) Rescued Donation - You can make this a rescued donation by checking this checkbox.




  1. Once all the edits are done, click on Save.
